The lines in the intro of the song were originally penned by the Urdu poet Jigar Moradabadi. The lines were made famous by Raaj Kumar's character in the movie Bulundi (1980). In the movie the Professor Satish Khurana acts with integrity and courage despite threats from a cabal of gangsters. Sidhu compares himself to the professor and contrasts them to other stars in the industry.
